The shaping of the natural world by people and our interactions with it fascinates me and this original watercolour painting is the second in a series inspired by a trip to Cumbria one March. The weather was bleak but a breath-taking natural colour palette surrounded us on all sides wherever we went. This one features the many miles of walls as well as the deep greys of exposed slate; an endless view of potential routes to explore.
