The shaping of the natural world by people and our interactions with it fascinates me and this original watercolour painting is the last in a series inspired by a trip to Cumbria one March. The weather was bleak but a breath-taking natural colour palette surrounded us on all sides wherever we went and this one captures the majesty of the snow capped hills and the contrasting greenery of the lower undulating ground. Taking these paths would definitely need proper walking gear!
